Anyone in Norway know the status of the Megatunnel they're building for large ships? I watched the video and it looks nuts - I sure as heck wouldn't want to drive a ship through a tunnel that narrow. Curious if the project is going well or if it's finished or whatnot.

@morinka Thank you, but please don't go to too much trouble. I showed a video of the tunnel concept to the kids and in our discussion we were all wondering what the status was (since it was supposed to begin construction in 2022).Major projects here in the USA are typically giant boondoggles and half the time fail to complete. Wasn't sure Norway's track record - I assume better than ours.@Viking

@morinka @DaddyO There still are some red tomatoes in Portland, Oregon.I have planter boxes that get sunshine all day, and the plants get bigger, but they die early in the fall.My terraces have only partial sun, and grow more slowly, but have more staying power in the fall.The optimistic zucchini plant starts some new fruits too!Yesterday morning had a tiny amount of ice on the car's windshield.

@DaddyO I asked my politically engaged better half, as I don't pay attention to "the real world".She had not heard about the Stad tunnel. Supposedly there had been similar plans around here (Rogaland), but they never came to fruition.As far as I could understand, nobody believed it was doable.I wouldn't be surprised if this ends with some fancy graphics and perhaps a lined pocket or two.

@Viking I’m oscillating between envy and hate for you 😬It’s been so EFFING cold here 🤬 As if someone flipped a switch mid october and it’s grey, cold and miserable. Weird with the zucchini plants - ours did the same, pumpkins too - they looked like no winter coming this year, even produced flower right until the frost! @DaddyO

@DaddyO I can just concur what @Viking came up with. It has not started, govt asked to revise the budget in june and cut some of the costs.
