       @Ricardus No, I just figured with all the modulating they do throughout the series, and they never show exactly HOW they control that, that it'd be funny if it was just a knob that a character would turn to accomplish that. 😀

       @howler0502 I know this is going to sound weird, but I put a lot of thoughts into knobs. I do a lot of electronics DIY stuff, and I spend a lot of time finding just the right knobs for my projects.

       @Ricardus I hope I didn't come across as knocking the usage of knobs. Everything in Star Trek TNG seems to be touch screen interfaces, so it seemed funny to me that there might be a knob, that might seem out of place in that setting. 🙂
