There’s a spider on my bedroom ceiling, at an uncomfortably small delta-horizontal away from my soon-to-be-sleeping head. I know he’s a good and crucial part of a healthy ecosystem, and his presence means I’m that much less likely to have other, worse pests around. He’s not a danger to me.And yet, I’m now trying to sleep with a spider above my head and it’s not going well.

@tek compares closely to us with our house lizards crawling dangerously closely to celing fans, they don't mind their tail snipping off, but imagine where it might fall on your sleeping self.

@econads I’m not going anywhere near that thing what are you nuts oh hell no.I feel very good about maintaining a live and let live attitude here against my baser instincts, but I draw the line at actually interacting with little spiderbuddy.

@tek more with the younger ones whose feet don't grip the ceiling as well as the big ones do, but the big fat ones fall too...not necessarily doing harakiri on the fan, but just like stunt jumps or whatever.

@tek am seeing the name first time. the size matches, but i can see the anole has colors of a bright garden, the house lizard has no reason so no much variation in color as it is the main predator scaling white walls, they are not white, but some of them sometimes do have a darker shade. hopefully not racially ostracized.
