It turns out there are no issues at us but at kbin.social it seems..Today alone we processed over 9 million errors from there that clogs up our sidekiq queue :sad_cat: I'm gonna get in touch with the dev and try get this solved, otherwise we may end up defederating if this continues..

@wonkothesane unfortunately that is dead indeed 😿 I could not rescue it anymore after the last failed migration..for now im done with lemmy since it causes too many headaces, sorry :(

@wonkothesane thank you ❤️ well, i hear some good things about a fork thats been working on by some amazing people!They focus mainly on the backend and how to scale it better so there's some hope there

We just got a reply from Ernest, the developer of Kbin and he's working on the issue at the moment!So we won't block but deal with the errors in the meanwhile so Ernest has some time to fix issues on their end :cat_hug_triangle: Fedipower! 💪

@stux Have you considered temporarily firewalling them? It should move the problems down to the network layer, and not risk protocol level weirdness.

@mhkohne I have but limits stil do the push and fetch actions and when we block them we lose all connections, also not an option
