After 1400z, some slight changes made by now include the fact that TVP1 now airs alternative programming, instead of ID loops, in slots scheduled for news broadcasts. Also, TVP3! Since yesterday's shutdown, the network carried TVP2 all day long, seeing regional offices stripped off ALL of their assigned airtime, meaning they were unable to broadcast their own news bulletins! (Although it is rumoured Gdańsk managed to insert one yesterday.) They had to resort to social media, predominantly Facebook, to share them with the public.

After all the news (or, rather, "news") segments, #TVPiS used to have a "reporters' intervention programme" called ALARM!, which, actually, often included current-affairs topics such as COVID advice, war in Ukraine, richness of Qatar ahead of 2022 World Cup, or... those protests against the near-total abortion ban.It seems the programme has fallen out of the schedule (at least for now); instead, at 20:20 CET Dec 21, 2023, TVP1 aired more highlights from 2023 Opole Polish Music Festival 🤷

Of course, PiS criticizes the programme (sometimes even factually tho, e.g. no mention of Tusk's signing of EU migration pact), while ruling coalition MPs welcome the removal of hatred.Most everyone, however, agrees there's a lot to improve technically... and that the programme is utterly boring 😅Among them is... It must be noted here that during PiS' reign, Polish state media had been generously funded from state budget, through so-called "compensations for uncollected licence fees". First such compensation - 2 billion PLN - was given in 2020. It is likely the money were spent mostly on PiS' #propaganda, although this must be audited.Now, Civic Coalition promised not to give money on TVP in its previous form (= #TVPiS), which some voters took as a promise not to fund them this way at all...
