Just enjoying my poisons without encouraging those who are not dyed-in-the-wool partakers to not become too involved in such activities... I like them well enough to cling to them still, but if they've not become your crutches, don't let them become so...

Oh, I am actually OK most of the time. Not always really crutches for me, so much as enjoyable habits... Did not experience horrors anywhere near what you did... Worst for me were growing up in poverty, chaos, and neglect which led to entering adulthood completely clueless, and experiencing the old cheat and dump... I am OK with how I turned out, for the most part... Should probably indulge less, but I really do enjoy my stuff... Have regretted every time I overindulged to the point of complete loss of control... Haven't done that in a while... Happiness for me is an appreciation of the little things...

In my limited experience working in that field, I encountered enough effete lefty stereotypes to last a lifetime... There were some who were just regular guys as well, though...

@JedDrudge @nordtrack @tyler What field? Catch me up. I agree with everything you said about indulging. I lost a job 30 years ago due to drinking and stopped. But I found out I could meter it and not overindulge. Now a wild night is 3 beers
