My husband's cardiologist is closing his practice and moving to a blue state. His wife is a gynecologist so I am guessing Idaho's abhorrent attacks on women's reproductive health is the reason. @IdahoLark I don't know if you've talked much with highly conservative people in Idaho, But ...I've talked with 5 blue-collar MAGA Republicans and they aren't worried about medical care. Why? Because they are relatively young, don't have insurance and believe they will never get hurt or sick before they get rich. FYI: One of them said he has had a bad back that interfered with work quite often but he'll work thru the pain until he's RICH. That's why Min Wage is still $7.25 in Idaho?

@TimBondy Gawd, the willful ignorance hurts. The only MAGAts I know are all on Medicare, so they don't care about other people's health insurance costs.

@k5dru It's bad. Stupid people think the new law just gets rid of doctors that perform abortion care, but it's so much more than that. They also think anti-abortion docs will just move here to replace those that left. I wouldn't hold my breath.

@firefly I know another doctor couple that is likely to leave because Idaho is trying to prohibit gender affirming care. They have a trans teen daughter (who is amazing).

@BeazLouise That would be nice. In May's election Boise and a few other places mostly voted against the extremists trying to take over our school boards, so maybe there is hope.
