       Handful of instance owners that have come together to create a unified blocklist ranging from paedophiles to degenerate instances and shitposters. Nobody beyond the Mastophere really takes 'em seriously as they are quick to add just about anyone to their blocklist for any reason, whether that be failing to strictly adhere to political correctness or not falling in line with their world view, political and ethical values. Those participating seem to think themselves the arbiters of the Fediverse that actively protect it from the undesirables amidst the unwashed masses, and have drawn a lot of ire and ridicule as a result. TL​:DR:​ They're a bunch of libtards and snowflakes that found themselves in a pretty privileged position through people giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are acting in good faith and in the best interests of the community when, in reality, they are not.

As I understand, any of the 'Fediverse Council' can place you on Tier three without contest for any reason they want. It's only when an instance is getting moved from tier three to zero that it involves any discussion or votes from other members of their council.
