Watched Lethal Weapon with the older kids last night, and a debate started on whether Die Hard or Lethal Weapon is more of a Christmas movie. They said it was Die Hard because John McClane wouldn't even be in the building if it wasn't a Christmas Party, but I countered with the fact that Lethal Weapon starts with someone living in complete, suicidal despair and ends with him having both hope and contact with a loving family - what could be more Christmas-like?

@EliThePI The kids are impressed that Al Leong was the evil Asian henchman, yet again. That's 3 of the at least 4 iconic 80s movies they've seen him in (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, and Ghengis Khan of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Fame). They didn't know his name, but when they saw him show up on screen to torture Martin Riggs they all went "Hey! it's that Asian guy from Die Hard!!"

@DaddyO @EliThePI if they are old enough, watch Dirty dancing. The whole abortion thing would be an interesting learning moment. The whole movie is a moral horror show.
