       Since y’all liked my CQB rifle, here’s my long range / deer rifle.FN SCAR 17S, which is the .308 version of the 16S (5.56) and without most of the feed and reliability issues that plague the 16S..308 is almost twice the price of 5.56 and, while not uncommon particularly among deer hunters, it isn’t nearly as ubiquitous as 5.56. I’ll probably stock more .308 than 5.56. The SCAR 17S ain’t cheap, but if you’re not opposed to the reciprocating charge handle, it’s a nice firearm.

       @KillerMule have you shot it before? My general gripe with bullpups is the inability to properly clear malfunctions, which is why the VHS-2 was the only bullpup I was interested in. I can’t tell if you can flip down the dust guards and inspect the action if it’s configured in forward ejection, but if you can then that’s pretty cool. Looks like it has a much less retarded stock than the VHS. The mag release is more standard on this vs the VHS too. Is slide release the underside btn behind mag?

       @eriner No I have not to be honest. Yeah when pups jam it usually is badm i was concerned about more rear weight to be honest.

       @eriner what you think of the IWI tavor 7, 308 ?the iwi seems to have interesting concepts, never tried one of their firearms but the TS12  and Tavor 7 looks interesting seems all their stuff is oriented towars funtionality
