"today's sarcasm" (the 'ironic' zeitgeist preparing $CURRENT_THING) "is tomorrow's sincerity" (such views become normalized as a consequence of people forgetting the context in which they were initially proposed) "wages of sin are death" (such practices are ultimately destructive to those involved and hasten their own fall from grace)

It's actually worse than that: it's in Oliphant's allegedly curated "Tier 0" list: https://codeberg.org/oliphant/blocklists/src/branch/main/blocklists/tier0.csv . That domain was dead before oliphant.social existed. It's also on the other blocklist, https://seirdy.one/pb/tier0.csv , also "Tier 0". Per https://seirdy.one/posts/2023/05/02/fediverse-blocklists/ :> I totally get resistance to blindly importing blocklists; I don’t actually feel comfortable going the “import and forget” route myself! The first couple hundred entries of the pleroma.envs.net blocklist started with a few imports, but all domains have since been manually reviewed. @mint @fba Ha, I'd seen that one but he also now provides a second list that unblocks all the canary domains so that you can just import them both. If someone is carelessly importing all of his CSVs, then they will end up unblocking the canaries.
