       @session I have been a fan of Session for some time and use it quite a lot. Proton say a con is that you are based in Australia (a prick of a government that loves surveillance). How do you answer that specific concern? This might be a dumb question from a non-tech, sorry.

       @genxer Proton was forced to hand over a users IP because of a govt request, despite being based in Switzerland (a country viewed by many as safe).The solution isn't to run from govts that are hostile towards privacy, The solution is to create tech that is inherently resistant to them (like Session).

       Proton always claimed the did not retain logs, which was obviously false. Which is a diapointment. But yeah, better if the tech is so that that info just isn't there
