@TappinLisa @HopelessDemigod I am seriously wondering what other non-specialized but obsolete skills old people might have.By specialized I mean less than 1/4 of the citizens. For example, I fly a small airplane instead of driving a car often. This used to be far more widespread 50 years ago. In late 1970s more than 1 in 50 Americans knew how to fly, but less than 1 in 500 know now. But it didn't clear the threshold even back then.How about balancing the checkbook? Growing potatoes? Change spark plugs? Drying plastic bags for reuse? Feeding a horse by hand? Saddling a horse? Shooting a musket? Collecting mushrooms? Raising children in a heterosexual marriage?Sorry, that was a boomer joke
