Back when @danielandangel were active they had a couple Christmas prompts for the microfiction contest. I wrote one for that, and then I wrote a sequel to it that was much longer about the characters hunting and slaying a giant fire breathing Turducken for charity. Both stories can be found on my website

It hasn’t been easy trying to mix Christmas and violence for me. I’ve seen others do it well but for me it’s a fine balance between over the top and expected. As a result I haven’t really finished any stories invoking Christmas.

If one can spare the time, it is actually quite fun to throw together a holiday-themed story. I already shilled last year's Wand Smoke Christmas piece, so I won't link that again.I will say that it provides for a good worldbuilding experience. One has to figure out how the holiday can be recognizable while also believable as it is presented within the setting. There is also the style one writes in as an element to play with. For extra allusion and challenge points, one can write in the meter or rhyme of traditional pieces of poetry or fiction enjoyed during the relevant holiday.

I've never actually done it, though for a little while when i was younger, the brick was supposed to have a town in the world literally called "Christmas Town"

I did one where the Santa clauses hire a hitman to assassinate the christmas cat.But that one took place in autumn/fall, and had little top do with the holiday. All monster.Sent it to BwS, but it was too violent for them.It got to be in the collection though, on Amazon.
