@Bwee It's nice to see someone else putting Discord out there for what it is.Also something this person didn't mention is that the CEO of Discord.inc is the same dude that ran OpenFeint, a company notorious for stealing and selling user data. Jason Citron.This is why I always tell people, if you're going to use Discord, treat it like everything you're saying you're yelling into a busy town square with a sign over your head that has your name on it.

@Bwee i’m perpetually annoyed that discord seem to have cracked screen sharing to the point that virtually none of the alternatives seem to have it working consistently or available, literally running an owncast server for screenshare seems easier at a certain pointMatrix is also currently undergoing a coup from the element developers so its future is incredibly rocky as they likely plan to close source additional features to sell off as premium plans

@panegyr@meow.social @Bwee@meow.social I self host owncast. Still doesn't run as well as the discord's screen share. I'm looking into self hosting a P2P screenshare alternative, hopefully that will do the trick, AFAIK discord uses P2P
