       @Murray_N I suppose that only works when the target actually gets hurt or dies. Otherwise the work of a swat team becomes impossible. Then the first need to ring the doorbell and wait until someone answers.

       @MartinJJ Ok.  Just to be devils advocate....SWAT Teams need stuff to do.  They need to keep their skills sharp, and sitting around waiting for something swat related can leave you unprepared.See!  We're all heros!

       @Murray_N @MartinJJ Part of the problem is that for the last 20 years, caller ID has been easily spoofed. They really need to shift to security, screw convenience with the phone system, make caller id relevant again.

       @MartinJJ @Murray_N A very simple caller ID check would be to send back a random numerical code to the caller ID number using a different channel opened by recipient, if that does not get sent back, recipient phone doesn't ring, or SMS message doesn't arrive.But it will never happen, because phone companies and government are scum.
