       I'm sometimes reading through a social media group that's attached to a fandom site, and people are STILL ARGUING OVER THE TOP/BOTTOM SHIT. Genuinely, when will y'all get over it? Not everyone has a clear preference, these preferences definitely do not correlate with nonsexual behavior or personality traits, and you can't expect everyone to conform to this. If you accidentally read a fanfic where the preferences in your pairing were reverse, you weren't personally victimized by the author.
