Pat is so sick we thought we might have to go to the ER last night, and now we have a water leak, so this is shaping up to be one of the worst Christmases ever. But … I concocted this hack to direct the water spray into a bucket until we can get a plumber out, and if you knew how spatially challenged I am, you, too, would realize it’s a freaking CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.

@grammargirl this reminds me of the Christmas when my wife got sick. Really sick.Two weeks out from Christmas, the plan was a huge meal on Boxing Day (my wife is the cook of the house). Over those two weeks it dwindled to just a normal meal, then leftovers, and finally, I arrived home from the hospital (sans wife) on Boxing Day for pizza that the (adult) kids bought.
