       @Herbivore @Paradox @MugsysRapSheet And thousands of generations of selective breeding to get utterly unhealthy, fleshy blobs. Same with cows, those we're mostly abusing for milk production couldn't survive anymore since their utters are simply too big and produce such an endless amount of milk without biological overpressure valve, mama cows would suffer and probably die horribly.

       @Natanox @Herbivore @MugsysRapSheet I guess when you selectively breed for things not related to self sustenance, you can end up with bodies objectively incapable of it.There gonna be a good few animals that just go extinct if we ever have an apocalypse, just because they've become utterly reliant on our actions to exist.

       @Paradox @Herbivore @MugsysRapSheet Lol no xD We feed way more corn and soy to animals to produce meat and dairy products than we eat ourselves. Without all the farm animals we'd have enough resources to feed the world almost twice.

       @Paradox @Herbivore @MugsysRapSheet It really is mostly farm animals though. Any other animal, including our pets, are fully capable of surviving on their own (as shown f.e. in the Chernobyl exclusion zone where a huge amount of cats and dogs live).Any "farming" breed of cows or chicken would most likely die. Pigs *might* still be able to survive, but it'd be hard (in my opinion).
