@simon there's a kind of comedic genius to playing the *lead* as a deadpan straight man in an otherwise wacky ensemble comedy. Peter Weller does that in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai for an oddly similar effect - in both cases it's as if the key actor has no idea anything funny is happening around them. Brilliant

@simon maybe part of my problem is that I haven't really watched muppets outside of the Christmas Carol version, and I knew multiple other versions of A Christmas Carol before I saw the muppets one. The two Marleys thing really annoyed me 🤣
