@Arwalk I see no Christmas presents as a blessing. We are all grown ups and can buy our own stuff anyways and nobody needs to bother finding something for everybody else.

@rohrkrepiererHmm. I like doing presents. It's not about the price but more about finding something that the other enjoy. I think I enjoy more doing presents than receiving them myself.

@Arwalk I can understand that, but it is kind of annoying if you don't receive a clear answer when you ask what they want or to at least give a hint. And I don't have enough contact with my relatives to think of something they might need or want myself.

@rohrkrepiererBut that's the whole point, I don't ask what they want and do my best by myself! That's what I find fun. And even for people who I don't know a lot about I try things explicitly out of the ordinary to gauge their reaction. I'm playing the long game!

@Arwalk If that's fun to you all the power to you, but I would think that I'm just giving them some garbage they don't need or asked for and it will just lay in some corner and eventually get thrown out or they'll sell it. So why bother?Maybe I'm just a cynical asshole. 🤷
