So my wife got me a gun for Christmas. I have been wanting a Ruger LCP Max for a pocket carry pistol. She got me the Ruger Max 9, which is their conceal carry micro 9. Not a pocket pistol. I don’t have the heart to tell her it’s not the right one. Can’t return it anyway. God bless her though. She really tried.

@Some1ActuallyIt is a good gun. I had the old lcp. I pivoted to the P32, which looks like the P3AT, the influencer of the lcp.

@Murray_N @chris I took my Max 9 to the range yesterday and liked it. My only other handgun is a Glock 17 which I also really like. Next handgun will be steel I think.

@Some1Actually @chris I recently bought the Sig P365 which is the direct competitor to the Max-9.It’s the new California model where the magazine disconnect effects the trigger feel a bit.I still love it but haven’t carried it yet.My Shield 9 is like an old friend at this point…..

@Murray_N @chris P365 looks awesome, but the Max 9 was $320 vs probably $600. Those Sigs are what got the whole micro 9 trend really kicked off.

@chris @Murray_N I would really like a 26. There's something about it that appeals to me. I know that there are a lot more comfortable options out there but I'm drawn to it. If I were to get another Glock that would probably be the one. Although I really like the 17 and would probably be better to just trick it out with a new trigger, red dot etc.

@Some1Actually @chris I don’t recommend messing with triggers on carry guns for two reasons:I have seen many over preps in classes, cases where people fired before intending to by over prepping the trigger under the simulated stress of the shot timer going off.Legal issues. The Soros financed DA or civil attorney is going to have your gun inspected by their “experts” and anything they can convince a cherry picked jury was “ reckless” on your part won’t go well for you.Range guns sure…..

@Some1Actually LCP Max is great. Hard to aim. But it fits so easily in a cargo pocket or waistband that you can't really beat it. My buddy loves his P3AT which can't be got anymore. Arguably the Ruger is better due to capacity, especially if you get extendos so you can actually get a 4 finger grip on it.

@Some1Actually @chris Working at the range/gun store has its advantages.I got both my wife’s 365 and mine at cost. They retail for $800.The 365 finally solved my wife’s carry issues which is a big load off of my mind.

@Jradical @Some1Actually @chris A situation of evolution of understanding, skills and acceptance of a change in overall wardrobe.It started with not being able to understand and operate an auto.Tried an LCR .38Those are no fun to shoot especially with the old style Crimson Trace grips.I tried a Walther P22 which she liked but as fun as it is I just didn’t trust it for a carry gun.We went to an LCR in .22lr which was good training for the .38 but 5 shots isn’t enough for me to feel comfy.
