       Boy, there's a lot of hate out there for Silent Night, John Woo's new film.It's like people haven't ever seen a John Woo film before. Melodramatic? Yes, of course. Hyper violent? Yes, of course.Is it the lack of doves?Not having the characters yammer away means there's no distraction from the pure cinema of the thing. It's a revenge flick - all the plots are the same. It's in the execution - and Woo has a way with the camera, and with montage.I dunno. I liked it.
