       My wife signed up for a #hostmonster account a dozen years ago to do a mommy blog, and basically abandoned it after a few years. I took it over to host some personal projects, but have barely used it myself in a few years.I had set it to auto-renew on a 3-year term to get discount pricing, and we just got hit with a charge for double what the website shows. Support said I was looking at a promo price for new customers, but the page said no such thing. They gave me a one-time courtesy discount.

       We turned off auto-renew, and will probably either shut the whole thing down or find a cheaper provider (surely someone out there provides a domain name and decent shared web hosting for well under $15/month?).Honestly I think we could dump it at this point. There are ways to host private FOSS projects and share files with people for free these days, which is about all I've been doing with the site.
