I usually do if my wife and I go to visit family, usually an 8-10 hour drive. When my wife's driving, I'll often edit or work on a first draft in the car.This Xmas, we're not travelling, and I'm looking for a job, so that takes priority. Sorry art; not willing to starve for you.

Depends on what project(s) I have on the go at the time. I'm not usually super busy around the holidays so I usually have free time to commit to writing if I so choose. I can't remember many previous years, but I do recall doing a little 'Christmas special' short story back in high school. Also, last night (the Solstice, coincidentally enough) I was making inroads into the climactic chapter of my WIP.

I try my best to get writing done every day, and holidays have been no exception. However, life circumstances have changed recently, and I have had to sacrifice some writing time for the sake of family.That being said, this year I will likely be writing during the listed times.

Nope. All that goes on the back burner while enjoy the holiday season and the moments. If I get an idea for a story I just make a note of it and flesh it out after the holidays.

I would be getting about the same amount of work done, but this year we decided it more prudent to do Christmas gifts in the form of favors. Well, changing out one little light switch morphed into changing out nine switches and has finally turned into, "Yeah, you need to call an electrician and probably update the wiring in the entire house."

Excellent time to get productive. Now when you mention the holidays it reminds me my Moon communities doesn't celebrate Christmas. However they do have a few days off from work or school around New Year, which is their only holiday. The grown-ups get get a glass of vodka and the kids get a piece of candy for Sylvester partying. This year the allotment will be 80 gram pro capita. Up from last year's 125 gram.

I've been my most creative during the holidays since it's mostly time off and time indoors. Plus I started doing concept and plot synergy to figure out where pretty much every story ends up as a form of existence, and that's allowed me to easily world build for future projects. Turning concept creation into a form of mad libs makes me feel like biological AI.
