       I keep confusing 'b 0x1234' with 'b *0x1234' in gdb and wondering wth it's not triggering the bp.

       @penguin42 0x1234 vs *0x1234 always confuses me in gdb. By the time you use it again you've forgotten the right syntax.

       @stefanha The hint, which is obviousish later, is if you forget the '*' it asks you whether you want to make it pending on future shared library loads (because it's failing to find the 0x1234 symbol).
