       A Time To... Race-Swap?We all know there's lots of race-swapping that goes on with classic properties in Hollywood and streaming today.But how about the early 90's?A Time To Kill was a major film starring Samuel L. Jackson & Matthew McConahey where a black man(Jackson) is on trial for murdering two white men who had raped and murdered his daughter.The film's powerful line was McConahey who plays Jackson's lawyer says "Now imagine that little girl was a white girl."And everyone's heart sinks with the realization that if Jackson was a white man and his daughter was white he'd not even be on trial for murdering the two monsters who had done this to his daughter.However, the book written by John Grishom was based on a real-life crime where a black man had murdered two little white girls. Grishom then wondered what if the father had killed the man.However, for some reason it was felt better to make it a black girl who was murdered. In the movie the Ku Klux Klan intimidates the town, and the two murderous white men were even KKK members.To realize that the races were reversed, and the KKK was added to the story infuriates me.Imagine a scenario where the father is a member of the KKK, and then kills the man who raped and killed his daughters.Would we be able to feel warm and fuzzy about the KKK member avenging his daughters death?It's just as dramatic and thought-provoking, and I would say it's a  realistic possibility.This film is an early example of anti-white racism propaganda that so many people internalized and carry to this day.When I was younger I can recall the news showing murders and rapes and they would accurately describe the people doing those crimes.Today they'll say "He was wearing a black hoodie and Nike shorts" with no mention of his race.UNLESS, he's a white man: "the suspect is a white male, wearing x,y, & z.Every issue is made about race. But if the perpetrators are black we have to consider their economic status, or that the officer was white.If you don't want mass illegal immigration into the USA you're a racist bigot.The same people who say that will also say "White people will be a minority in Europe and America by 2050", and they'll call that positive progress. I watched Bill Mahr and Sharon Osborne rejoice that London is no longer majority white, and called it progress.Why is progress? How is it progress? If there are less white people it's progress? Well then the inverse can be true.If I want the USA to become MORE white and I consider that progress this certainly must be valid by that logic.But I have data and statistics that I would say support this logic.A black woman in an all white neighborhood: Is she in danger?Now a white man in an all black neighborhood: Is he in danger?Now ask yourself, what makes those things true or untrue.
