       Cause duct tape + harden leather weighs nothing in comparison, and complete human jaw with muscle n all with no mental inhibitors can't bite through. They can't bite through plate either, but how fast and far can run in full plate vs harden leather.. more over what happens if you fall in full plate, death via dehydration or starvation. You're more likely to roll onto your feet in leather than plate.. that my point

       You are vastly overestimating a full plate weight. it is heavy but not that heavy a muscular man can't walk around in it.It's approx 15–25 kg 33–55 lb an actual space suit can be 2-3 times heavier than this minus the complications comes with gravity of course. Still not for running and bare foot fighting in a long term. it's too restraining.

       Agree, but realistically they couldn't maintain the armor after first few dents.

       And in an armor this heavy and clumsy they run ot of breath quite fast.It's only a good idea while they have to do to stand and keep swinging their sword against a few zombie. But if they are more numerous? Whomever puts this on just get buried underneath of em simply because they were shot in terms of mobility just as much a zombie. And that's one of the biggest advantage against them. Numbers, numbers...You rarely have just a few, and compared to this problem begin bite and therefore infection resistant the smallest of the issues...

       Now if they have something like a power armor whereas against its weight they can keep their mobility and don't run out of breath? That's an entirely different story. At this case, as long the zombies can't pin em down, whatever numbers they have none of em stands any chance. But at this case they do better with some sort of close quarter weapon axe sword mace and the likes so ammo not going to be an issue, and they can keep chop em like wood. Something like this cannot be even called a fight, it's just an one sided massacare.
