       Hi fedi friends! A recent conversation made me wonder about something, so I'm posting a 100% Scientifically Accurate Fedi Poll ™️ to find the answer.My hypothesis (see? very scientific!) is that trans people are more likely to have grown up with "social games" rather than "social media." To define those terms a bit, "social media" in this case refers to online platforms where the primary goal is to connect people with a larger social graph via the internet. Any other features are secondary. "Social games", on the other hand, means anything where the primary goal is to offer gameplay and a secondary goal is to connect players in a social capacity. Some examples:- Facebook: social media- Reddit: social media- Instagram: social media- Fediverse: social media- any MMOROG: social game- Club Penguin: social game- WebKinz: social game- VRChat: social gameThis is not an exhaustive list, of course. For anything not listed please use your own judgement. You're free to ask if not sure! You can also consider offline social media / games, if you feel that's more applicable to you.
