I'm trying to figure out how to do something both complex and retarded, because there's no easy and simple way of doing it with this fucking platform#webdev

@brad validate a provided JWT and then issue the regular auth and session cookies for the user if it's valid, using the existing infrastructure that the site is built on.Easy-peasy for an average everyday ASP.NET website. But this is Sitefinity, which tries to bury ASP.NET under its own Java-inspired monstrosity of an architecture, with a brain-dead ORM that Telerik, the creator of Sitefinity, doesn't even support anymore despite continuing to use it for their fucking CRM.Just thinking about it again while writing this and I need another drink.

@coldacid wow that sounds very cursed. Good luck to you. Nice to hear about real session cookies though. Too many bozos these days using JWTs as sessions.

@brad the JWT isn't being used for session, it's just being used to authenticate the user when they log into the mobile app. But now we need to make it that they can use the attached website from within the app as well, which means being able to take that token and convert it into cookies for the webview page.
