Has anyone found a way to return notifications back to normal? I've seen some have made different "clients" for it but if anyone has recommendations or ideally a firefox addon I'd appreciate it!

@cobaltsnow What is wrong with the notifications you’re getting? You can find settings for them on the web client, under the settings gear on the right, click the hamburger menu at the top-right, and go to Preferences > Notifications in case something there helps. :blobcat:

@Nedrik only the full images per notification thing, figured maybe a different web client would fix the issue

@cobaltsnow @slimshod @Nedrik I believe someone made a CSS to hide the images in notifications but I cannot remember who posted it, sorry. You could try a web client like this:https://elk.zone/m.webtoo.ls/public/localOr a desktop client like Whalebird:https://whalebird.socialI have not personally tried them but I think they get rid of the media cluttering your notifications.

@cobaltsnow @satori I took some time overnight while I couldn't sleep to throw together a Userscript that would not just hide the media, but make it toggleable. If you're not familiar with userscripts, no worries, all you need is a script manager extension like Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey, and it handles installation for you when you click on the link.I worked out obvious issues but some might still pop up, so if you use it let me know so I can patch it.https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/482767-baraag-collapse-media-in-notifications-by-default
