       Follow the money.  If we want politics to be about ethics, then we need to sever money from politics.  You’ve heard of this before, it’s called democracy.  Fascism/oligarchy/plutocracy/monoploy is when money is in control.

       @NMBA I mean, on the books, it can be banned - but in practice is a separate matter entirely.  Money laundering is incredibly simple to perform

       @fcktheworld587 Agree, won’t ever stop crime, but have some big deterring penalties like the corrupt candidate is struck and the offending corporation/person is jailed for assaulting democracy.  We can clean up much of it, but there’s no perfect solutions to most things.
