My Samsung phone just updated to the latest software and my favourite #Swype keyboard is no longer supported. Do you have any Android keyboard recommendations that have a swipe ability and is customisable, preferably with multiple language input options? This Samsung keyboard is already infuriating me!#AskFedi

@miffyhelen I use Gboard from Google. Not sure how well it plays with Samsung though. (I have a Google Pixel). It allows multiple languages (I use English and Japanese) as well as built in gif search. Swipe enabled too. You can also change the size and color of it.

@trinitybat I've installed 4 different keyboards this evening so far and Gboard is the one I hate the least. There are a few essentials I want in a keyboard like dark mode, swipe, and having the keyboard as small as possible, all which Gboard does. It's only the non-essentials it doesn't have but it will just have to be a learning curve!

@miffyhelen @trinitybat I have AnySoftKeyboard, it pretty well works with different languages. Swipe-writing is there, and works fine for me, but it's not perfect. If swipe is not the only and the most important feature for you then give it a try.
