@Grumblesock Probably easier to take on a walk than this dog I'm watching.

@Grumblesock She's young and has a healthy weight. She was abused and/or feral as a pup and spoiled thereafter, so she's needy and insolent at the same time, lol.

Ah poor thing. I hope she doesn't give you too much trouble and that she improves with time, though that's really more the work of her owners to do. How long are you pup sitting?

I've got her for a month. I do wish I could train her, but trying to get her to sit, heel, etc gives her this look like she's *offended*. I'm certainly no expert at this.

A month isn't too bad. Have you dog/s of your own? Honestly even if you had many months to train the lass as soon as she goes back to her 'pack' she'd just pick up those same behaviours that she learned there too. If you could train her humans then that might change but that would probably be a bit much.

Yeah, she's just kind of annoying. She doesn't bite or destroy anything or shit on the rug. It's just sad because she's so distressed about nothing all the time. It'd be nice to have a little walnut-brained friend, but there are rules here.

I'm glad that your rugs remain clean, last thing you need during a dog sitting errand is soild carpet and half eaten shoes. It is sad to see a distressed animal, more so if there's nothing you can do about. All that said it's very good of you to have taken it on.
