       @GottaLaff I am so amazed that there are so many people who can support that thug. They must think they are safe from it all. How can we get them to change their mind? How can we get the truth to come out on FOX so they can stop being brain dead?

       @martlund @GottaLaff Because they WANT a dictator. Most dictators get their start by convincing a large enough minority and using them to violently seize power. The "us vs them" mentality is so deeply ingrained that any attempt to argue away from that mindset ends up being taken as a personal attack on their very existence. They brandish guns for a reason.It's a political fight to keep them out of offices both local and national, but it's--more importantly--a cultural fight in the public sphere to ostracize and tell all the younger generations that racism, misogyny, and dictatorships are UNACCEPTABLE.The worst thing the trump minions did to American culture since 2016 (and thanks, mass media) was mainstreaming racism, misogyny, and authoritarianism and encouraging KKK/Confederate philosophies to resurface. Those people were always there but more isolated, and now they have mainstream (inter)national platforms to brazenly recruit. It's the worst cultural shift possible.

The SC legalizing bribery (among other things), politics being as they are (current system et al) and very wealthy interests who had no intention to share anything at all are all in this.This didn't just all happen on its own... it was cultivated.
