Some movies are blown off by critics (or at least lots of the critics) because the critic is just not hip enough to get the humor. If the movie has a lot of over the top gore/twisted physical comedy in it...well, I guess a horror comedy like RENFIELD, starring Nic Cage and Awkwafina was doomed from the start. It lost money. @johnshirley2024 This was a horrid delight. Ridiculous, over the top in every way. The filmmakers cut the brake lines, nailed the accelerator to the floor, loosened the steering, and got behind the wheel shouting "Hop in back, we're going to Whatthefuck!"
