@r000t unfortunately ive never been manhandled at the airport before. i should stop going through the mm wave scanner and just ask for a pat down at this point

@nosleep my understanding is that the noise is fine because it doesn't need crazy resolution, it's just comparing your shape to a known human shape and pointing out anywhere you deviate from it so it can be manually inspected. it's why my ankles were always flagged when I wore crew socks, because they were bunched up at the ankle

@r000t mmwave is also pretty noisy, which is actually a desired characteristic, since it doesn't show genitals like xray does (and also isn't a cancer hotspot lmao). but all the fancy technology can still be skipped if you manually opt out

@r000t I've been physically searched in my groin area by TSA multiple times and it's about as unsexual as you can get in that situation tbh.
