       It still baffles me that liberals successfully planted the term "surveillance capitalism" as a new form of capitalism.Surveillance has always been essential to capitalism, from the factory supervisors controlling workers at the assembly line to the video camera watching over supermarket cashier. If you think that there is a difference between a corporation surveilling its workers and a social media platform surveilling its users you are simply misunderstanding your role on social media.
