It me: https://volpeon.ink/art/2023-refsheet/ :drgn_happy_mlem: Over a year ago I commissioned a simple picture of my fox character as a noodle dragon [1], which turned out to be the starting point for a journey to find a new "me". This journey has now come to an end and it brought about a lot of changes; not just the species, but also my approach to handling my identity.The result is this reference sheet.Something that bothers me are character designs that realistically wouldn't work, such as large dragons with way too small wings. So when I was coming up with my character, I made choices with the goal to have a good combination of realism and individuality. It didn't have to be perfect, just good enough to make my brain go "yes, this works".This is why I went with a wyvern instead of a 4-legged dragon [2], it's on the smaller end of the dragon size spectrum, and the eyes have round pupils instead of slits.I experimented a lot until I got results I liked, especially the head shape, the horns and the fur colors.
