Next @retrospring update is going to be the big UX one.Fixed an issue we had for a long time. People thought that using the modal dialog through the FAB in the button right asks the user a question on a profile (it doesn't) so now there's a note.

@pixel Maybe you couldeven rephrase that to "<link>ask a question directly</link>" to prevent the "click here"-trope? (Also if its more of a "touch here"). Maybe the contrast of that box could be higher, the text is a bit harder to read there?(Design and text... everyone's got opinions on them 😅)

@supergarv design-wise I noticed that I need to adjust link colors inside alerts to the text color (and make them bold)I don't think "Click here" specifically is bad, because it is a direct call-to-action, and some users require that, I noticed.

@supergarv a lot of the users of the website are young (or not experienced with websites, interestingly) and thus some of the most basic things lead to...funny interactions. We sometimes get bounces from our mailserver, because people are replying to our confirmation emails (to confirm their email addresses) with "I confirm" instead of clicking a very visible link in the mail.

@pixel It's become a kind of pet-peeve to me. I try to link the "intent" to the link, so it's often a "read more" and not "do a click". In this case, I do not want to "click here" but "comment there". Feels nitpicky, but I always stumble on "click here"s and think "whats the actual action; the clicking is an intermediate".I.e. "call mum" instead of "click here to see a phone number".

@pixel Thats interesting. I'd figure older people would expect the "click here" things because thats how early websites highlighted hyperlinks, and young people would act natively on other kinds of callouts.About the mail - I can see people being afraid to click large buttons in mails. Replying feels safer 😂
