       You will need an FAA certification similar to a drone pilot license. Can't fly over people or cars. Rules and battery life make it currently impractical.

       Apparently these issues have been addressed. Formerly, you could fly most anything below 400 feet above ground level.

       If it's light enough it might skirt licensing requirements... I don't think you need one for ultra-lights. Of course... that's 250lbs and a top speed of around 50 mph with a power-off stall speed around 25...I'm not sure what that means for this, but looking at it I would guess it requires a pilot license.

       I'll be interested when/if they make one that will run 6 hours while seating a family and cargo. Until then, it's just an expensive toy for those with more funds than sense.

       getting one. but not until Gen 3 or 4... Gen 1 will have issues yet found, and i dont want to find an issue in Gen 1 during flight
