My wife runs a McDonald’s. Sometimes like once a year she brings home some hamburger 🍔. I will cook this meat but it’s full of grease. Why do they buy beef that s 30% fat. They use weights and press the fat out. But why buy the cut to begin with?

@Skizzle420 — cheaper and tastier maybe? This reminds me, the other day we drove through a small Missouri town where a new McDonalds is being built but the big sign on the front of the building said MeDonalds. 🤨We had to double- and triple-take to be sure! We were left wondering whether it was a sign typo or a new marketing strategy. 🧐

@Skizzle420Flavor: Fat is where a lot of the flavor in beef comes from. It contains compounds called lipids, which are responsible for the beefy, savory taste we all love. The more fat in the meat, the more flavorful it will be.

@fuknukl yes the grease seems to be where the flavor is. Like one of those old hamburger stands have a unique flavor
