Sorry about the downtime❤️ I just did an emergency server upgrade since our main disk had little space leftOur database is getting quite large after 4 years so I gotta keep up with the hardware :cat_hug_triangle:

@stux Have you considered using an S3 backend for this? On my single-user self-hosted Mastodon instance, following 170 accounts, with a Live Feed on, I generate over 30GB a month, but it's all stored on my other self-hosted Minio instance, so the server Mastodon is running on never has to worry about not enough space.

@shane For our media we use that indeed except not the database 😉 I have a solution that im gonna add soon, simply add a volume and store the live db there! Cheaper but also easier to up and downgrade aside from the main server

@markdevries @fluffery it's indeed with help of the community ❤️ otherise i was not able to affort this :blobcatgiggle: but there's more to it, next to servers there is also media storage and email sending costs 😉 it's an expensive uh.. "lifestyle" :mastogrin:

@stux @fluffery I have no idea about monthly costs, but try to contribute a bit every month. People will have to get used, that a free internet is paid in cash in stead of them selves.
