       They say Homer was among his contemporaries. As for the names of the writers of cuneiform and hieroglyphs, they weren&#39;t attributed yet. Whenever the ancients (to us) speak of the Hebrews as &quot;ancient peoples&quot;: yes and no. Scholars have a few strong competing theories which Canaanite, et al, tribes they probably derived from originally.
