@TinyHouse4Life I saw that this morning I counted 13 planes criss crossing over Greensboro/Winston-Salem NC. They were non stop today.... And the trails expanded very quickly

@battlepenguin Maybe, maybe not. I personally ain't buying. This is at the end of my drive way in bumfk nowhere, not in a flight pattern and many miles away from an airport. If it was just jets, it should look like that all the time because the planes and flights run on a semi regular schedule. @TinyHouse4Life It's just a thing over particular countries. We have commuter jets too and sometimes see the contrails. I saw a good one the other day. Your atmosphere is really cold, so the condensation forms tiny little ice flakes, and they take ages to snow out, or sublime into a clear sky.But just look how many aircraft are over some parts of the world.

@TinyHouse4Life As someone who has worked in the aviation industry working commercial, private and military aircraft, this is just water condensation. I fly on various missions and aircraft in test scenarios. It is common for other aircraft participating in the test to report when they see “conning” (contrails) at various altitudes, as this may affect certain systems under test. Super-heated exhaust + super cold air (with moisture in it) = contrails, nothing nefarious.
