@Wolven Oh, yeah, it's the best, particularly since parrots get so lonely when kept solo* Also, did you know that parrots have regional accents? *Once you've seen parrots in the wild and how they interact with each other (and humans), and how smart and social they are, it's almost impossible to see lone parrots and not feel a bit sad for them, no matter how much their owner loves them (and even if they've been bred and raised in captivity). Using technology to enable parrot friendships like this also gives me great joy, though it would be even better if they could just call each other whenever they wanted! (They'd likely be constantly on the phone being as raucous as parrots are in the wild!)

@Wolven that is so wonderful! “Two sickly, elderly male macaws paired together in the study had scarcely seen another macaw in their lives, yet formed a deep bond—dancing and singing enthusiastically together through the screen.”

@Wolven I do wonder, though, how did the social media algorithms react? Adverts for crackers?

@WolvenThis is so wonderful!Coincidence: I just wrote something about humans underestimating animals feelings. We often hear 'We shouldn't anthropomorphise animals' but each time I hear that I cringe. I think it's sheer arrogance to think animals are not capable of having similar feelings. Most are creative and enjoy things they come up with themselves, they can be sad, happy, et cetera. This kind of research really helps ❤
