Just finished "An Object of Beauty," by Steve Martin, the actor/comedian/playwright/banjoist/author. It's the story of a woman of somewhat loose morals/ethics involved in the New York art world. The (unreliable) narrator is an art writer acquaintance of hers. (That he's unreliable isn't a spoiler: in the first few pages he admits he filled in with imagination what he wasn't present for.)It's a good story about the financial/business side of fine art world, rather than aesthetics. Martin is a good prose stylist, and the characters are interesting and believable. I don't know how accurate a portrayal of the art world it is. Martin has been a serious art collector for years, but this may be pure speculation on the machinations behind the scene. Or he may know. Whatever the case, it's a good book.

Light novel readers in the fantasy/romance genre might like the Revolutionary Reprise of the Blue Rose Princess. Follows a lot of the reincarnation tropes you see today, but then develops a lot of the side characters and has political intrigue.

“Tales from the Gas Station: Vol. 4 by Jack Townsend. It’s a fitting conclusion to Jack and company when it comes to the “that shitty little gas station on the edge of town” though I have a feeling that they’re still more stories to tell. 😈

Most recently I've read The Spacer's Companion. I wrote a whole review for it, which I'll some up here: it's a collection of sci-fi stories which each leave you wanting to know more about the Angels' Reach setting; also the characters' interactions are always fantastic.I'll link my full review below. You can find a link to the amazon purchase page on the review page. I really do recommend people check it out.https://www.wildislelit.com/review-the-spacers-companion

"People of the Black Circle" by Robert E. Howard. I've read a few of his Conan stories and that's the one I'd most recommend so far. Solid swords-n-sorcery pulp fiction.
