       @Sam33 no need to connect your X account to your bank account, if X actually is a bank.  I think there's a good chance that Elon will succeed with this, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

       @IceCubeSoup I agree. Perhaps I’m biased bc I’m an executive producer of NA but if I were Elon it’s probably what I would try to do too. Don’t think he’s a white hat either.

       @Sam33 Yes, not a white hat at all.  Just the fraudulence of the "electric cars will save the earth" grift is enough for me to disqualify him from that status.In my view Elon and SpaceX exists because the pentagon and other funders of the defense sector were tiring of the slow and ossified incumbents, like Lockheed, Raytheon, et al.  It's hardly a triumph of private enterprise that SpaceX is a success.  He was given the stage upon which to succeed.  Similarly with subsidies for electric cars.

       @Sam33 But the "Elon worship" of just 3 years ago, compared to the derision he's subject to these days irritates me, and shows me that something else is going on.People are critical of him now weren't critical of him then, which means they aren't critical thinkers at allSo any time Elon manages to defy those who are thoughtlessly critical of his enterprises, I find myself cheering.
