@stux I used to work at CERN, and we had a basket of those miniature black holes to take home by the door. Perfect for setting to hover over the driver's seat to "absorb" the odd car thief. 😁

@stux When I lived in San Francisco, I left my car unlocked, with the windows down and a note on the seat telling people "Nothing of Value Inside".I still got my windows busted a couple of times a year. You got used to it. The hardest part was vacuuming up all the broken glass. Months later I'd still find a random bit of glass under a seat or something.But yes, it was pretty normal. Like someone anywhere else finding bird poop on their car. "Oh, my window's busted. Oh well."

@stux I suspect car #vandalism is worse in NYC. When I lived there every holiday season my car got broken into - in my own driveway.
