All this cancerous commercial tech shit is the real oppression. You never notice it when you use functional software. It just works. (lol)I am somewhat forced into discord. They released a version. It fails when you walk out of the wifi. It fails. What.A chat app fail to display the correct channel...I am speechless. Ofc their defence is everybody has network everywhere. This is their bubble.

@CapitalB Recently had to deal with discord. Turns out the use some very broken web based code to help restore passwords. So broken, that in order to do so, you would have to open their link in the clear with no VPNs or as blockers on an unmatched browser. Brave and pfBlocker both stopped this nonsense in its tracks thankfully.Though I can only imagine how many millions of people casually operate this way daily.

@Chile_Lavrov Noone treats it seriously... until all your friends are on it and their main channel was Whatsapp and they switch to this while some minority uses privacy oriented tools. A split yay!Meanwhile Telegram eats into the market bc "serious" stuff migrated from mail to whatsapp and ppl dont want to risk a contract/face ending repost. The mess extends to Line, viber, kik... when you have 1 immigrant in your circle. m(
